Have been working hard on some teeny tiny knitted ornaments for gifts this year…like this new friend.

He says Hello.

More tiny knitted things… this time a Banana, Pear, and Pineapple.  Eventually I’d like to make a whole teeny bowl of fruit.  What next…?

Hello, Teeny Tiny Bunny! Nice to knit/meet you

A Valentines Fairy Tale

There once was a lovely but lonely Mermaid.  Eventually a nice Gnome came wandering by.  He had a candy heart to share.  Although she really liked this one cool squid, he was off chasing tuna all the time.  So she thought, hmm… better than nothing.

~The End~

(These two adorable knitted friends were made from the book Teeny Tiny Mochimochi by Anna Hrachovec)

I totally just remembered that I *forgot* to get back here and share info about Teddy P Bearington the 3rd’s (Teddy for short) Christmas present that I made him.

It was my first time knitting a wearable gift for a furry friend.  I didn’t follow a pattern, just kind of went with not so much a sweater idea (because he kind of hates anything going over his head) so I went with a little blanket that kind of snugged around him.

I took some measurements and then got busy.  It only took a couple nights and of course had a “stand-in” to try on the Canine Cozy as I went in the form of my cat Salem

{He’s gonna be so mad I put his picture on here, because he’s a former alley cat turned creme puff couch surfer - just don’t tell his old boyz from the ‘hood, k?}

So Christmas came (and went) and though Teddy was more excited for the chew I stuck in the folded up sweater than the sweater, the next morning I took him and T-Boy out for a walk to try it.

I would say it was a success.  I especially love the little white heart embelishment on his rump!

A little while back I was searching for something to spice up my gift giving and maybe try some holiday knitting.  Then one day I found this nice blog called Little Cotton Rabbits {too cute of a name!} and the lovely free pattern for small stockings.

I used size 8 needles and odds and ends of yarn, they turned out a bit bigger than the pattern intends, either way I am happy with my simple stockings…

Which I was able to fill with assorted kisses and mint candies, chocolates and even perfect size to stick in a Starbucks gift cart!

Merry Crafts-Mass!
